Skiing near Barcelona
Barcelona is in a privileged location, just 90 minutes from the nearest ski resort. The Pyrenees is home to the first ski resort opened in Spain and offers some of the best skiing in Europe. We’ve selected some of the best ski resorts near Barcelona you’ll find.
La Molina/La Masella
Just one and a half hours from Barcelona by car, this is the ideal resort for a day trip skiing. These are technically different resorts but they are connected to each other by pistes and lifts.
What differentiates this place from the other Pyrenees resorts is the night skiing on offer in La Masella. Known as “The Night Skiing Capital of the Pyrenees”, you can enjoy 10 thrilling kilometres of skiing on 13 different pistes lit up at night.
This season, night skiing is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Domain du Tourmalet
Domain du Tourmalet, composed of resorts Barèges and La Mongie, is the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees. With 61 pistes, 43 lifts and 100 kilometers of slopes, Domain du Tourmalet offers the most varied and exciting skiing you’ll find in the Pyrenees.
Situated about a 5 hour drive from Barcelona, we recommend that you spend a few days there to enjoy the resort properly. The range of skiing and the superb scenery is so incredible that the long drive is more than worth it.

Port del Comte
Situated just over two hours from Barcelona, Port Del Comte is a beautiful resort with 37 pistes of 42km in and between forests of snow-covered trees, making for incredible scenery. The resort also features 256 snow machines so you are skiing is guaranteed even when the snowfall is not favourable.
As well as skiing, Port del Comte offers many other activities such as dog sledding with huskies and tubing.
