Trends in the housing of the future: how are we going to live in 2025
Based on a study presented at the Barcelona Meeting Point last October by promoter Corp, one of the largest housing promoters in Catalonia, together with the Internet Age Media (IAM) innovation and trend platform, it has been possible to contrast interesting conclusions of the analysis carried out. From Font Real Estate we want to talk about them.
Welcome to housing 3.0
Based on an architecture adapted to the environment where it is located and which also incorporates advances in home automation and technology in its construction, this new housing 3.0 has as fundamental trends for the coming years: sustainability, responsive architecture, co-living and artificial intelligence.
How are we going to live in 2025?
This is the question elaborated in the Barcelona meeting point 2017.
Trends such as the crowd housing and the branded living, gain weight, which advocate the joint financing of the promotion and constructions that are associated with our way of life.
The new technologies in our day to day life are already our reality, and the construction sector is no stranger to it. Therefore, these technologies are combined progressively with our homes.
We spoke in the introduction of this post, a responsive architecture, which adapts to environments and their own needs. For example, kinetic architectures were presented, structures with the ability to adapt and move without affecting the overall stability of the construction to adapt for example to improve the optimization of the interior light and the collection of reusable energy. Also of buildings with solar roofs or aerotermia systems, capable of producing clean energy.
So we are talking about a sustainable architecture.
New generation construction adapted to new lifestyles
It highlights above all new methods of construction more efficient, fast and precise as for example, use the robotics to raise walls and a bricks placement more optimal and fast.
Another aspect to highlight is the inclusion of home automation and latest technologies by default in these new constructions, such as digital climate control, video-intercom, video surveillance, controllable functions from smartphones, Bluetooth and USB, elevators with intelligent management, memory system integrated for access recognition or blinds and electric curtains with remote control or even the installation of charging points for electric vehicles with power and individual meter.
These are some of the examples that can be implemented in this new housing 3.0.
The trends are clear, and the housing of 2025 is defined according to our needs in the home. Sustainability, responsive architecture, co-living and artificial intelligence.
